Our Story
Umbrella Skye (formerly FS Village) was born from a team of homeschool mother’s deep desire to create a space where other families could feel supported, understood, and empowered. We know how lonely and challenging the homeschool journey can be — and that’s why we built this private community: to offer wisdom, share real experiences, and lift each other up.

Because we’re not just a community — we’re your extended sojourner with 50% of our lives already in common. We know you before you walk in the door. We recognize you before you introduce yourself. Today, we are hundreds of families across the world, predominantly in the U.S., connected by our shared journey. We meet online in spaces of personal interest, build authentic relationships through having our questions answered by a team of professional seasoned homeschoolers, and we celebrate each step we take together through encouragement, understanding, and laughter.
